Team Spotlight: Emily Lusk

When did you start at Koss Olinger? August 21st, 2023

What is your role at Koss Olinger? Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Where did you grow up? Fleming Island, FL

Do you have pets? If yes, tell us about them. Yes! I have a German Shorthaired Pointer named Henry. He is highly energetic, and his favorite activities are swimming, hiking, and playing fetch.

What is something people would find surprising to learn about you? I love to travel, and I’ve been to 16 (soon to be 17) countries!

What do you consider to be your best quality? My perseverance. I always strive to be the best I can be and am constantly working to improve.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from history, who would it be and why? If I could have dinner with one famous person from history, I would choose Virginia Hall. She was an Allied spy during World War II and was the only civilian woman to receive the Distinguished Service Cross for valor in combat. She went on to become one of the first female operations officers in the CIA. Virginia was extremely important to the Allied cause and refused to be recognized publicly for her work because she wanted to remain undercover. I would love to listen to her stories and learn from someone who was so selfless and persistent.

What is the best advice you have ever received? Slow down and enjoy the moment because time moves quicker than you realize.

What is your superpower? I would say that my superpower is the Gift of Gab. I kissed the Blarney Stone in Ireland a few years ago, which, according to legend, has given me the ability to speak with eloquence and fluency.

What is your favorite food? It’s a tie between Mexican and Hibachi.

What do you think is your biggest contribution to the Koss Olinger team? I think my biggest contribution to the team would be my dedication. I am dedicated to consistently going above and beyond each day, being the best possible teammate, and performing my job to the best of my ability.
