Team Spotlight: Britt Mejia

When did you start at Koss Olinger? May 22nd, 2023

What is your role at Koss Olinger? Client Liaison/Scheduler

Where did you grow up? Great Falls, MT & Gainesville, FL

Do you have pets? If yes, tell us about them. Yes! My husband & I have two (2) dogs: Belly, a Chihuahua/Dachshund/Shih Tzu mix that we adopted from a rescue organization in Marion County at the end of 2020, and Cooper, a soon to be 2 year-old Norfolk Terrier that truly embodies the phrase “terrier terror.”

What is something people would find surprising to learn about you? My sister and I share the same birthday, but we’re not twins. We’re 2 years apart in age (to the day!), and it’s by pure happenstance!

What do you consider to be your best quality? My sense of humor.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from history, who would it be and why? American Linguistics Professor/Activist/Intellect – Noam Chomsky. He’s still alive, but I’d love to have sat down with him sometime during his early years of transforming the field of linguistics…late 1950’s/early 1960’s.

What is the best advice you have ever received? Flush with your feet (in a public restroom). Thanks, Mom! Joking aside, it’s got to be “Leave everything better than how you found it.”. That’s been a successful life strategy for me, and I find it applies to WAY more than places & things.

What is your superpower? It’s a tie between resilience & curiosity.

What is your favorite food? It’ll always be Japanese, Thai, or Vietnamese cuisine if I’m choosing where we eat.

What do you think is your biggest contribution to the Koss Olinger team? Energy & attitude are infectious! Although it might sound a little simplistic, I truly believe my biggest contribution is my spirit of service & that I truly enjoy my role/the work I do at Koss Olinger.
