Ten Questions with Eddie Mordujovich
How long have you been with Koss Olinger and what is your role? I originally joined Koss Olinger in 2012 as Business Specialist. After several years in law practice, I returned in June 2019 to serve as Compliance Officer, which means that I get the pleasure of helping ensure that a company whose chief guiding principle – and bedrock of success – for half a century has been the client’s best interest maintains its stellar record of compliance with industry regulations and continues to go above and beyond that which is required and expected.
Where did you grow up? I grew up in Miami Beach, FL in the 1980s and 90s, which means I knew that the best trick-or-treat candy was at the Bee Gees’ house on North Bay Road.
Do you have any pets? If yes, tell us about them. We have a loyal family outdoor cat named Simon. He dashes home for dinner around 7:00pm and leaves for his office at 7:30am after breakfast.
What is something people would find surprising to learn about you? Before law school, I dabbled in indie film production and collaborated on several books with Cypher from The Matrix.
What do you consider your best quality? I surround myself with amazing people and listen to them.
If you could have dinner with one famous person from history who would it be and why? One? How about one every week. This week, I’d choose King David. I’d like him to show me how to use a slingshot.Next week, Alexander Hamilton. I’d like to suggest next time he use a slingshot.
What is the best advice you ever received? “Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can.”
What is your super power? I have six children under one roof, three of whom are in middle school. Perseverance.
What is your favorite food? Anything Middle Eastern/Mediterranean. You cannot serve me enough tabbouleh salad. I will need more.
What do you think is your biggest contribution to the Koss Olinger team? Using a vast regulatory framework for navigation, a compliance officer must lock into the core vision of the company to help clear the way for the realization of that vision. I think my biggest contribution will be in maintaining the climate of confidence that Koss Olinger’s advisory team and professional staff have come to expect as they endeavor to increase options and opportunities for clients while safeguarding them, and the organization, against pitfalls.
