Team Spotlight: Jordan Harriz

  1. When did you start at Koss Olinger?  September 2022

  2. What is your role at Koss Olinger?  Client Service Associate

  3. Where did you grow up? Greenville, SC

  4. Do you have pets? If yes, tell us about them. I have three dogs and three snakes. My dogs are Remington, Jasper, and Annabelle. Remington is a stoic yellow husky/lab mix who loves butt scratches and being chased. Jasper is a bluetick coonhound who is not the smartest of the bunch and is very loud, but he is irresistibly lovable. Annabelle is a beagle/terrier mix and was our first family dog. She is shy with strangers but loves her brothers and cuddles with the rest of the family. The three snakes are all ball pythons, and their names are based on Harry Potter characters: Luna, Nagini, and Nymphadora. They’re very low maintenance but are very interesting to watch, and surprisingly also have their own personalities.

  5. What is something people would find surprising to learn about you? I spent much of middle school, high school, and some time in college in various choir groups, including some time participating in musical productions in high school (Wizard of Oz, A Christmas Story, Music Through the Ages, and Into the Woods) and a year as part of Clemson’s men’s acapella group, Tigeroar.

  6. What do you consider to be your best quality? Integrity. I always strive to follow my gut for what is right.

  7. If you could have dinner with one famous person from history, who would it be and why? Robin Williams. He was such an interesting actor and played so many roles in many of the movies that I grew up with. I would just love the opportunity to learn about him as a person and not as much as an actor.

  8. What is the best advice you have ever received? The best advice I’ve ever gotten has been repeated over and over but is always applicable, and that is: Communication is Key. Whether in relationships, business relations, friend groups, or neighborhood settings, clear communication is the simple basis for understanding and working together.

  9. What would be your ideal superpower? Food. Not having to ever cook, but just being able to imagine any meal at any level of detail and it appears on the table ready to eat. Just imagine the time savings.

  10. What is your favorite food? It is a tough toss-up between good barbeque and Mexican food.

  11. What do you think is your biggest contribution to the Koss Olinger team? My biggest contribution to KO would be my consistently positive attitude and commitment to helping the team succeed.
