Where did you grow up? St. Augustine, FL
Tell us about your family. My wife’s name is Kimberly, and together we have three wonderful daughters, ages 7, 5, and 2.
What is something people would find surprising to learn about you? I am an avid pickleball player. I picked the game up shortly after retiring from the NFL. For as long as I can remember, I have loved playing sports and having an outlet to compete. It was a tough transition out of professional football, but pickleball gave me a chance to compete again. I love playing with my wife and daughters and we have met so many great people through the game.
What do you consider to be your best quality? I am a great problem solver.
If you could have dinner with one famous person from history, who would it be and why? Phil Jackson- I am obviously an avid sports fan and I view Phil Jackson to be the greatest coach in all of sports. Some people discount his eleven championships because he coached some of the NBA’s best players of all time. I give him credit for being able to manage egos, keeping the core players, and motivating the players to continue achieving greater things year after year. I would love to know his strategy for achieving all of these things and the toughest battles he faced during his coaching career.
What is the best advice you have ever received? If you want to be great, be willing to do what your peers are not willing to do.” This was something I would tell myself repeatedly during my football career. I believe the reason I was able to play at my dream school (University of Florida), and then the NFL was because I lived this everyday.
What is your superpower? I am a great problem solver. I have always enjoyed looking at the whole picture and finding the best path forward.
What is your favorite food? Mexican.
What do you think is your biggest contribution to the Koss Olinger team? I have been a part of championship teams at every level in sports. I was attracted to Koss Olinger because I believe we have the best team in the industry. I think I bring a fresh perspective on high performing teams. I also have ample experience being on the other side of the table. I have interviewed dozens of advisors in the past. I believe those interviews can help tailor our service going forward.
